How it works:
We conduct all of our printing in-house here in Wanaka, New Zealand and can guide you through every step of the process. Here is how it works:
Make Your Selection: The process starts by you choosing the size and orientation of your print from the options on our shop.
Paper Transfer Print: Before it is printed onto the aluminium panel, your photograph is first printed onto a special sublimation paper that acts as a transfer medium to print it on the metal.
Panel Preparation: Once the panel has been cut to the required dimensions, the transfer is placed onto it and fed into our large format heat press ready for printing.
Ink Sublimation: Once the panel is in the press, the magic of chemistry transforms it into a print through a combination of heat and pressure, turning the dye inside the transfer into gas and affixing it to the metal.
Finishing Touches: Once the panel has cooled, the transfer is removed and it is taken out of the press to have a wood or foam float attached to the back, ready to be delivered and hung on the wall.
